MARYSOL XIMENEZ-CARRILLO & SEYYIT EL-CHERBINY

We look forward to bringing unforgettable moments to your event, such as weddings, birthdays, concerts, or company events. If you have any questions or would like to book us, please send an email, or give us a call.

When Marysol and Seyyit met, while both working with the Savoy Dance Orchestra, they found out quickly that they both were interested in making more music together. Because of Marysol’s Spanish roots and Seyyit’s passion for Spanish music, they soon had the idea to create the Spanish program Historia de un amor. From the heart, with deep emotions and passion they interpret Spanish boleros and rumbas of the 30ies-60ies. They work together with wonderful musicians throughout Germany.

Depending on what you need for your event, we play as a duo or with more musicians.

Should you be looking for jazz and pop music, we can of course also provide that.

We are looking forward to making music for you!

Seyyit El-Cherbiny was born in Izmir (Turkey). He grew up there and studied piano and composition at the conservatory. 1981 he came to Berlin, where he has lived and worked ever since. He plays in multiple bands, accompanies singers at concerts and was a formative pianist, composer, and musical arranger in the “Wintergarten Varieté” Berlin for 15 years. Apart from that he played at theaters such as the “Apollo Varité” in Düsseldorf, the “Friedrichsbau” in Stuttgart, as well as many festivals.

He has a great passion for swing and jazz music and has been the pianist of the Savoy Dance Orchestra since 1994. With eleven other full blood musicians he interprets the great era of swing music.

For many years now he has also worked in the music theater business. As a pianist and conductor, he was part of musical theater shows such as “Dance of the Vampires”, “Dirty Dancing”, “Mamma Mia” and “Hinterm Horizont” at the Theater des Westens and the Theater am Potsdamer Platz Berlin.

He has been working together with Marysol Ximenez-Carrillo since 2011. They share their love and passion for Spanish and latin american music.
